How to choose AI Teleprompters for Mac
The single biggest divider in this category is voice-following versus timed scroll. A voice-following teleprompter uses on-device speech recognition to track your words and advance the script at your pace — you pause, it pauses. Timed-scroll apps move at a fixed speed you set beforehand. If you do multiple takes or improvise, voice-following saves real time.
Next, check the overlay model. Several apps offer a floating transparent window that sits over Zoom, OBS, or your webcam app, keeping the script visible while you record. Others run full-screen or in their own window, which works for dedicated rigs but not for live calls.
